Store furniture

Since time immemorial we have collected all kinds of objects. Useful, as well as useless. Food to survive, strings of rope that may come in handy someday, love letters and these days: the manual of a digital camera. These are things you usually do not throw away. There are, however, other reasons for not throwing away some items, as they may mark a milestone in your life.

Is collecting in our nature? I do not know, but we collect a lot and for very long! Most of our homes probably are not built for this urge to collect. Most of the time items just vanish in boxes and crates in the living or bedroom. Fortunately we have many tools to help us with this: plastic baskets, cardboard boxes, plastic crates or trolleys. However, a variation of all these systems will not always guarantee a neat and tidy home. The HACO organisation challenges you to invent a storing device that is functional as well as decorative.

Most homes, especially those with young people and families with children, have great difficulty to storing everything neatly. Therefore there is a great challenge here! Think e.g. about your own bedroom for a second! You are also part of the target group for this assignment. Choosing for this assignment gives you the opportunity to work on a surprising solution to the storage problem.
