Preperation
- First, fill in the profession list and the
job orientation form You can save these forms in your project file.
- Your teacher will keep track of your time path of this webquest and will direct you to do parts of it.
- Use the results of the conducted job list and job orientation form to choose an appropriated company for your internship.
- Discuss your choice with your teacher.
Applying
- Write an application letter. Ask your teacher to read it before you send it to the
company. Please realise that the application process takes time. If you have not heard
anything after a week, you can contact the company by email or phone.
It is possible that the company does not have room for you. This could be due to
the period of the year, the length of the internship, the size of the company, etc.
When this happens, you should try to find another company as soon as possible.
Your internship
- Read the internship work booklet beforehand,
so you have good overview what you have to do. You will have to update this booklet every day.
The paper version will be the basisyou're your final digital version.
You will hand in the paper version to your teacher after your internship. The digital booklet will go in
to your project folder.

Meet with your contact within the company at least one week before your internship starts.
Make sure you present yourself professionally. Let your contact sign two copies of your internship contract.
One of these contracts is meant for the company and one for your school.
Also ask about the time that you have start on your first day of work, clothing requirements or other things you need to pay attention to.
You can use the days before your internship starts to do some preparation. You can read up on the structure
of the company, how many people are working there, the different departments, legal/company structure, etc.
The company gives you an opportunity to do an interesting internship which implies that you are interested in the company.
Every day of your internship you have to arrive on time and at the right place. Make sure you have your internship
booklet with you and are prepared for the activities for that day. The internship booklet will be your guideline that clearly outlines your daily schedule.
- Make sure your supervisor of the company fills in the assessment form at the end of your internship.
