Labour issues and income distribution
Labour issues and income distribution are discussed extensively in your economics lectures. After your educational career you will also encounter these topics. This is the reason why these were chosen as the central topics of this webquest.
During your lectures you will probably encounter personal and categorical income distribution on a national level. It could be that these topics will only be discussed in havo 5. This depends on which teaching method is used.
The topic of labour issues will mainly centre on unemployment and everything that surrounds this issue (possible causes, policy, etc.). In this webquest we are going to discuss a selection of topics surrounding these issues.
It is your assignment to come up with a research question that fits one of the topics. You also think of sub questions that are linked to this central question. By conducting your research you are going to try to answer these questions.
It is mandatory to exclusively focus your research on regional issues. (Inter)national issues will be discussed in your other courses.
Possible research topics are:
- employment opportunities;
- Unemployment;
- ageing of society;
- social policy;
- activities of the CWI and employment agencies;
- personal income distribution;
- opportunities on the labour market with your future study;
- summer employment/part-time employment of students.
